Anonimo WatchesFederico Massacesi, a designer and entrepenuer founded Anonimo watches (meaning anonomous in Italian) in 1997. Previously Massacesi was working with luxury goods brand Salvatore Ferragamo and he left to establish Anonimo as a design and production house of unique Italian timepieces. Anonimo Watch Collections Anonimo watches are famous for their role in deep sea diving and as a respected superior sports watch. The watch called the Anonimo Millemetri was released in 1998 and it achieved acclaim for its prowess. Because of this watch and its reputation Anonimo was headhunted to collaborate with Cooperativa Nazionale Sommozzatori, a famous Italian diving company. This partnership continues today. Anonimo also partnered with Dubois Depraz, one of the most integral Swiss companies specializing in high quality watch mechanical movements, chronographs and complications. Typical Anonimo watch design includes various combinations of chronographs, superior dials with luminosity for deep water diving, calf skin straps finished in a patented process to allow for extended immersion in fresh and sea water, and a stand out feature is the buttom locking system. Invented by Anonimo, the screw locked push-buttons are also mounted on the casing with an innovative watertight system. Unlike the traditional chronograph buttons this system prevents not only unintentional chronograph operation but most of all it assures the Anonimo watch’s waterproof state.
