Bovet
Watches
In today’s world where every watch
starts to resemble each other, comes a line of Bovet watches that are distinctly
different from the rest. Bovet, a Swiss watch maker, even debuted in the Indian
market with a hand-painted turquoise and rust Gaesha image 39-mm watch, a
limited edition with a special tribute to India that signifies a Hindu ritual
according to which Ganesha is at the beginning of any job. These watches are
exclusively for the Indian market, however, the core of collections will be the
same as other markets. Bovet president, Pascal Raffy, who took the helm in 2001,
said that “India is special because the country radiates through its mythology,
history and many cultures, an expression of refinement, aesthetics and respect
for traditions,” according to documented information.
Three main collections were
launched in major metro cities like New Delhi and the brand presents three main
collections: Fleurier, that boast
gorgeous classical round shapes with a fired enamel dial and mechanical or
quart movement; Fleurier Complications, a wonderful series of seven high tech
models that have very complicated movements, and the famous Sportster, a
collection of modern design sport watches that offer a range of models with
chronograph or triple-date movements – perfect for a day on the golf course,
sailing the high seas in your yacht, or
just a walk in the park.
Bovet’s production of
approximately 2,000 unique watches a year add to their popularity in the world
of watches. They’ve had plenty of experience as the company was first started in
1822, to display the arts of European horology to the Chinese aristocracy. The
Bovet collection, with its models in rose or white gold, has a watch for
everyone.
