CCM Braun WatchesMartin Braun, founder of CCM Braun Watches, was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, an industrial and culturally important southern German city, located fifteen miles from the country’s oldest watch making center - Pforzheim. His father was a master goldsmith, Karl-Christian Braun, and well known in the watch industry as a specialist producer of watch cases. Therefore, Martin Braun was introduced to the world of horology at an early age and, after graduating from Pforzheim’s famed School of Watchmaking with honors, embarked on an internship with a well known watch company and quickly earned the title of master watchmaker For his final exam he built a modernistic table clock that contained an eight day movement, a Republican calendar, date, accurately running moon phase display and equation of time that Braun developed. His
master diploma inspired both father and son to create mechanical masterpieces
together, which started the inception of the mechanical renaissance. They found
interesting, rare and vintage mechanical movements from Pforzheim and other
places and they restored them in one-of-a-kind cases, using their technical
knowledge. Thus, the company CCM for the partner’s initials was born. Now,
Martin Braun has a wonderful reputation as a master watchmaker, and is known as
a specialist in the classics. He worked on a timepiece that would display the
times of sunrise and sunset and presented the EOS model in 2000, as well as his
own brand that features a collection of his own designs and
technology. Company
