Chopard Watches
In the year 1860 Louis-Ullysse Chopard established the first watch manufacture of his own in the small farming village of Sonvilier in the Swiss Jura on the road connecting St. Imier to La Chaux-de-fonds. From then on it has been carrying a symbol of tradition of perfect craftsmanship and excellent reputation in the field of watch making to this very day. To carry on the tradition and to stick to its roots of creating masterpieces the Chopard watch company developed a movement of its own which was named LUC after the founder Louis-Ullysse Chopard. The LUC as a part of its new innovation launched its first model the LUC 1.96.
