The history of Davosa watches dates back to the 19^th century. Davosa, a petit watch making company in Switzerland, put its first step in the mountain-guarded Jura which is situated between Basel and Geneva. Unlike the watchmakers of the big haute couture houses of the world who had stepped in this industry driven by the passion of art and designing, the Davosa family members were obliged to craft watches only to augment their poor income in the cold biting winters when there was no cultivation. He was a farmer as well as the creator of hand-fabricated silver pocket watch cases. His kin and next generation carried on the task he had introduced in his family.
