De Bethune Watches
De Bethune is a relatively new company located in Swiss Jura near the French border. It was started in 2002 by David Zanetta, the chairman, and Denis Flageollet, the managing director. The De Bethune watch company with in-depth knowledge and research in the mechanical process, design and selection of materials specializes in high quality fine watches. It is made of a team of craftsmen and technicians having vast experience with luxury watch houses and private collectors.
The company brought out its first collection of De Bethune watches in 2003. Their wristwatches feature a relatively thin, 42mm standard diameter, dials that are gold or gold and silver plated with hand finished guilloche pattern. They have ogival lugs of gold or platinum. All of them are assembled in-house and all the internal movements of the watches are put together by hand.
Some of the De Bethune models have special features like – GMT with seven day power reserve, marine chronometer with ten day power reserve and strike-silent mechanism, perpetual calendar with big date and split-second chronograph.
