De Laneau is a Geneva based company with a prominent place in the Swiss watch industry. The company was founded in 1880 in Biel in Switzerland.  Today the philosophy of the company relates to their early days as artisans who paid phenomenal attention to detail.  De Laneau watches challenge the design elements of the time and incorporate rare materials and eclectic design combinations.  Gem setters working with them use ancient techniques of gem setting like serti close, serti millesgrains, serti grife, serti pave and serti miniature to get the highest possible light structure. The De Laneau watch collections are exclusive.  They are only produced in small numbers with some collections only involving one model.  The custom work on each watch is a contributing factor to the small quantities produced.

The De Laneau watches come in two main collections – Private Collection and Core Collection.

1.  Private Collection has other variations like – Dome Tourbillon, Madame Butterfly, and Haute Joaillerie, The Five Ring Watches (Wind, Earth, Water, Fire, and Space).

2.  Core Collection has Marlene, Lili Marlene, Butterfly, Dome, and First Lady Variations.

Other varieties of De Laneau Watches include – Baby Butterfly, Bali Carree, Bali Rectangle, Evolution, Louka Grande, Louka Petite, Princess, Starmaster and Three Time Zones.
