Doxa Watches

The Doxa watch company began in 1889.  Based in Switzerland the company started as a manufacturer of instrumental panel clocks for racing cars.  George Ducommum was the founder of Doxa watches and he recognized that the automobile industry in the 1930s was competing with the watch making industry.  He worked hard to build the company name and in addition to sintruments for cars, he also created panels for aircraft.  Continues below...

Presently Doxa is one of the most sought after watch brands of Switzerland. One of the major achievements of the Doxa watch brand was the development of the SUBDOXA. In the 60s most divers used the Rolex for diving and as the endeavor changed from a military profession to a popular sport, DOXA worked to create a new watch.
