Garde WatchesIf one commences narrating the story of the life of Garde watches, one has to allude to Ruhla, an old habitat of the watch and clock industry which lies in the southern Eisenach in the verdurous forest of Thuringian. Garde Watch Collections Apart from creating wonders in the sections of clock and pocket watch manufacturing, Garde watches started creating devices for the watch and clock industry. In 1935 the company’s premier line of ladies’ wristwatches were sold. In 1963, it developed the mechanical pin anchor clockwork Kal.24 which led to the highly automated production of 120 million pieces (25,000 pieces per day in peak hours); this clockwork eventually was placed in wristwatches. The reunion of Germany in the year of 1990 affected the watch and clock industry of Ruhla. The colossal company Uhrenwerke Ruhla was broken into different private, small and medium firms which included the company ‘Garde Uhren und Feinmechanik Ruhla GmbH’ which means Garde watches and Precision Engineering Ruhla Ltd. Garde Company started as an MBO-enterprise in 1991. A couple of years later, a cutting-edge model of radio controlled wrist watches was fabricated. These radio-controlled wristwatches were accepted by the markets of US, France, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and Germany. Garde watches are displayed at the ‘Deutsches Museum’ at Munich proving again the brand’s success and reputation. Garde watches |
