Meistersine watches get their name from an interesting fact; In the vocal schools of the receding middle ages, the meister singer appellation was granted to the pupil who best understood how to strike each new note. These wristwatches, with their close links to the tradition of the German Bauhaus School of design and with their high functionality and minimalist look were selected among many other designs by the German design award panels. What especially caught their eye were the way Manfred Brassler’s Meistersinger watches brought married the experience of old world watches to with the conception of modern designer watches.
