Roamer Watches
The history of Roamer Watches of Switzerland begins in 1888, when a watchmaker named Fritz Meyer opened his own workshop in Solothurn. Then, in 1952 Roamer Watches officially changed its name to become Roamer Watch Co SA. The years 1983-1992 were a difficult time for watchmakers, but Roamer was able to keep its independency and identity during the difficult decade of the watch industry crisis. In 1993, New shareholders invigorated the company as changing market conditions provided Roamer with an exceptional opportunity. Today, the Roamer watch brand thrives as one of the world’s most admired watches.
Roamer’s success is in a large part due to their philosophy of true value between natural and man-made, between tradition and modernity. It is here that Roamer watch’s corporate philosophy of true value lies, the philosophy, prevailing our thinking, our actions and our lifestyle.
Using the latest technologies, Roamer watches optimize the resources needed for industrial production, and the company’s talented development team develops contemporary timepieces with real values. They only lay claim on lasting values, if mankind can use and enjoy them at his ease in healthy surroundings.
