With a long and complex history, Time Dimension watches, created by Hans Donner, were a masterpiece and history changing timepiece took nine years to complete.
Time Dimension watches feature discs instead of pointers, and were at first considered as an outrageous and impossible concept by leading watch experts until Bernhard Lederer, an expert watchmaker from Germany, took the problem in his hands. He helped the Time Dimension watch be manufactured, and produced a brilliant product; the result of cooperation between a design wizard and a mechanic master.
For the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Brazil, Hans Donner designed a special tower clock that displayed a map of Brazil, with the second hand pointing at Brasilia. Hans then built identical tower clocks in 27 different Brazilian state capital cities.
The Time Dimension quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, and was chosen as the fourth most beautiful watch in the 1995 edition of the magazine that lists Europe's most beautiful watches every year. This was an amazing breakthrough, making Time Dimension the first modern watch to be chosen for this honor.
