Universal Geneve Watches
In the year of 1894, the Swiss timepiece industry witnessed the birth of Universal Geneve Company - a timepiece brand that would ultimately become a legend in the chronograph market. The innovators of the timepiece brand were the imaginative Georges Perrot and Emile Descombes. They registered their brainchild with the nick ‘Universal’ in Le Locle. In 1918, the atelier of this brand was transported to Geneva, thanks to the company’s sticking to technology prowess and the subtle grandeur of its models. Celebrating the success of the universal in the entire universe, the company was re-christened as Universal Geneve. Continues below... Universal Geneve Watch Collections
The
Universal Geneve watches brand has offered the world an array of innovations -
wrist chronographs, the premier reversible timepiece, two pusher chronograph
system in 1932. But the icing on the cake certainly was the brand’s caliber 66
(2,5mm) which is the slimmest automatic movement in the entire globe. Universal
Geneve has moved the world from time to time with its novel inventions. For
instance, in 1954, Polerouter which was the premier wristwatch of a long series,
instrumented with the Universal Geneve’s movement, Microtor, accompanied the
SAS Airlines pilots who traversed the vastness of the colossal Atlantic. The
mechanism of the watches was intact remaining indifferent to the North Pole’s
gravitational attraction. The makers of Universal Geneve watches also invented
the Unisonic in 1971 which was a diapason system said to be the precursor of the
quartz movement. The Universal Geneve fabricates timepieces after taking into account the ever evolving customer necessities, wants and marketing dynamics. The designs of Universal Geneve watches are fresh and indicate the dexterity of the stylists. |
