True, the UrWerk watches are beyond typical mechanical objects serving as indicators of time; rather they are the sources of human emotions – emotions which are the ultimate things that separate man from the bestial or the verdurous creatures on earth.  The designs and the movements of the UrWerk watches are the expression of theses immortal emotions. The timepieces fabricated by UrWerk are the creations of human ardor for evoking love and sensuality, passion and pleasure.

The founder of UrWerk watches, Thomas Baumgartner was a man with futuristic vision. He was able to forecast the fashion of the future and encouraged his designers in his watch-workshop to give birth to something novel, something never-seen-before. This desire to capture the unseen time is the main motivation for the watch company which created some plausible timepieces since its birth. The model UR-101, its first wristwatch was designed by Martin Frei which was hand-crafted. The dial consists of a semicircular segment under sapphire glass which rests on a then-novel case of yellow gold. The entire case has the striking resemblance of the pebbles found on the beaches.

UrWerk is a member of (AHCI) the Academie Horloger Createur Independant watch fabricators which advises the gifted watch creators how to ameliorate their skills.
