Vianney Halter began his studies at the watchmaking school in Paris at the young age of 14, and it is here that he got his roots for superior watchmaking, and eventually began the legacy that is Vianney Watches.
After he graduated in 1981, he quickly established himself as an independent craftsman and was well on his way to designing his own collection of fine, luxury timepieces. During his first decade after graduation, Vianney explored the horological field in restoring ancient clocks and watches, bringing him naturally to Switzerland.
Once established in Switzerland he imagined and realized unique timepieces for big names, such as Breguet, Audemars Piguet, Mauboussin, Jaquet–Droz and Franck Muller, and in 1994, Vianney founds his own company in Sainte–Croix in the Swiss Jura, and the rest is history!
Vianney was inspired by the birth of Janvier SA, a small manufacture whose name is a tribute to one of the most gifted and talented watchmakers of the history, Antide Janvier (1751–1835). Vianney christened the first collection of Vianey Halter watches ‘Antiqua’, and launched his prestigious collection at the Basle Fair in 1998, enabling him to achieve an international reputation.
Since 2000, Vianney HALTER works together with the French designer Pascal Pagès to imagine new watches.
