The company was started by the son, Riccardo Zannetti, a creative designer of Rome. The father, Mario Zannetti, an artist who was popular in his time, took interest in his son’s business and joined him in providing exceptional ideas to watch designing. But again the Zannetti watches story has a similar happening which resembles the stories of great watch manufacturers. Riccardo Zannetti’s love for crafting watches was inherited from his grandfather, Carmine. Carmine was a great goldsmith in the beginning of the 20th century who had a profound passion for excellent mechanics.
Zannetti watches are the creation of two artistic masterminds, that of a father and a son. Mario Zannetti , being a true artist, sketches the model of the timepiece, vivifies it by filling it with colors. This drawing is then given shape and form in the atelier of Zannetti by the hands of the master craftsmen. These hand-sketches of the models are unique and different from the other watchmakers because the latter generally use the computers for designing the timepieces.
